This session was important to me because I have always struggled with eating, and it showed that this struggle has contributed to my mental health issues and that I can overcome both things at the same time. It also made me feel a lot less alone with my struggles when people shared what they had struggled with in terms of eating. I have battled mental illness for a long time and for a long time I never understood how everything in your life can impact that health. I was focusing on trying to fix my mind entirely while not thinking aboout my body at all, when in reality, that was also part of the problem.
